  • You need to choose a team to represent during your registration.
  • You can choose any team. Some chose their birth State or domicile State.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Malaysians 18 years old & above
  • Those below 18 years old must get consent from parents/guardians prior to joining the event. MCL will not be responsible for any mishaps that might occur during your participation.

NOTE: An exclusive champion medal will be awarded to participants if your Team becomes the overall league champion, provided you have purchased Champion Team Full Kit and completed the 160KM challenge.

  • A portion of the joining fee that you paid will be contributed to the participating State Cycling Association that you represent.
  • Participating cycling associations are listed below: –
    • Malaysia National Cycling Federation
    • Persatuan Berbasikal Kuala Lumpur
    • Persatuan Lumba Basikal Terengganu

  • All participants who represent the Champion Team will receive the medal if you fulfill the following criteria: –

    • You bought the Full Kit of the Champion Team

    • You completed the 160KM challenge successfully

  • Champion Medal is expected to reach qualified participants in October 2021

CHAMPION TEAM SELECTION

  • Your cycling time will contribute to the Team that you represent.
  • We will take Top 10 fastest time of Male category & Top 10 fastest time of Female category, add them together, for all Teams. The Team with the fastest combined time will be declared champion.
  • If there is insufficient participants for Top 10 in any category, we will take the maximum cut-off time of 9 hours for every missing cyclist.
  • Champion Team will officially be announced by 5 September 2021.

 

  • During registration, you have the option to purchase Team MCL Full Kit (RM92) & Jersey Kit (RM228). Tem MCL full kit can only be purchased during your registration. We will not entertain any request to purchase full kit after you have completed your registration.
  • Subsequently, you can still enjoy 20% discount on your FIRST purchase of Team MCL Official Merchandise at our online store.
  • There is no limit to the items that you can add to your first order in order to enjoy the discount. Subsequent order will not be entitled to any discount.
  • Download your confirmation slip from the email that you received from us upon successful registration to the event. Instructions for the 20% discount can be found in the confirmation slip.

  • You need to complete a total of 160KM ride in 4 sessions.
  • Each session must be a distance of 40KM in a single ride. No accumulation of multiple cycling sessions allowed, to make up the 40KM.
  • You need to complete the 4 x 40KM during the official race week. Sessions achieved outside the official race week will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off time for the total 160KM challenge is 9 hours. You will be disqualified and not be able to submit your results if you exceed the cut-off time.
  • We reserve the right to make the final decision on any situations that may arise from the event.
  • All rides must be done within Race #1 to #4 period as stipulated below.
    • Race #1: 2 to 8 August 2021
    • Race #2: 9 to 15 August 2021
    • Race #3: 16 to 22 August 2021
    • Race #4: 23 to 29 August 2021
  • Participants whom miss any of the rides during the stipulated period will not be able to complete the challenge. Incomplete participation will be disqualified and no e-certificate will be issued to the participants.

  • You can use any mobile apps, smart watch or any exercise devices that have GPS to track you ride. You can also use indoor cycling machine.
  • Take a photo or screenshot of your running results and upload to our leaderboard at https://vr.checkpointspot.asia
  • Your results screenshot must show total distance, ride time and date your ride.

  • If you are using Strava app, you can easily perform an online sync of your cycling data to our leaderboard.
  • MCL have the right to disqualify and void any submission that is suspicious and inconclusive. Decision of MCL is final.
  • The leaderboard is on best effort basis, subject to the information provided by participants and cannot be deemed as an official result. MCL do not endorse and certify the accuracy of the results.

  • Malaysia Cycling League [“MCL”] is opened to all Malaysians 18 years old & above. Those below 18 years old must get consent from parents/guardians prior to joining the event. MCL will not be responsible for any mishaps that might occur during your participation.
  • This Event is a virtual event. Participant can cycle at any location. Participant run at your own risk. MCL shall not be responsible or held liable for any injury or death, damage or loss of property, whether personal or otherwise, suffered or caused, howsoever arising from training for, during participation, or after participation in the Event.
  • Any updates on the Event, including any changes to the Terms & Conditions will be posted at https://malaysiacyclingleague.com. It is the responsibility of the Participant to keep abreast with such updates and changes. MCL shall not be liable for any loss or inconveniences caused, due to the changes in the Event.
  • Participant must provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself during registration. If the Participant provides any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, MCL have grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, MCL may suspend or terminate the Participant’s registration.
    MCL will not entertain nor be in any way responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete or inaccurate entry details in the registration form.
  • MCL may contact the Participant from time to time by email or phone. Any notice sent to the email address registered with MCL shall be deemed as received by the Participant.
  • Once registration has been duly processed, there will be NO FEE REFUND for Participant who does not eventually take part in the Event for whatever reason.
  • Registration of the Event is not transferable.
  • Upon registration, participants will receive a confirmation slip via email. The participants shall inform MCL via email if does not receive the Confirmation Slip or if there is any discrepancy in the Confirmation Slip. The Participants must report to MCL within five (5) working days from registration date.
    The Confirmation Slip is the only valid proof of confirmed registration and to be used for the participants’ entitlements.
  • Participant is strongly advised to go for a medical examination and/or consult their medical practitioner prior to registering for the Event and starting the Event.
  • Participant is responsible for your own fitness/health before participating in this event. MCL shall not be responsible for any losses, injury or death prior to, during, and after attempt the challenge of this event.
  • All Participants must comply with the Covid-19 pandemic Standard Operating Procedures that are set out by the Government when performing the Event challenge. MCL shall not be liable for any breach against any rules, regulations and laws by the Participant.   • Participant must comply with the race format stipulated by MCL.
  • Participant must submit race results with proof. MCL reserves the right to disqualify and void any submission that is suspicious and inconclusive.
  • The date for final results submission is on 31 August 2021. Any late submission will not be entertained.
  • The league leaderboard is on best effort basis. It is subjected to information provided by participants and cannot be deemed as an official result. MCL does not endorse nor certify the accuracy of the results.
  • MCL reserves the right to change the details of the Event, or to cancel the Event at any time without prior notice to the Participant. If the Event must be cancelled, there shall be NO refund of fees and MCL shall not be liable for any other loss or inconvenience caused.
  • If there is ambiguity in any of the provisions, MCL shall be the authority to interpret and make the final decision.
  • MCL reserves the right to use any information shared during registration and submission by Participant, including photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other media records of the Event, for any legitimate purpose including commercial advertising and distribution to MCL.
